The night before the full-scale invasion, a mysterious girl named Varya appears at the old Kyiv movie theater where Luca works. Luca knows nothing of what is happening in the world outside the theater, while Varya, who has survived a war before, seeks her last refuge in the dark auditorium. A fragile bond forms between them, but when reality begins to break through the cinema’s walls, they must face the inevitable. This is a story about the last safe moment, about the naive belief that movies can stop time. About a life that was stolen before it even had a chance to begin.
