Come to Ciné for the Southern US premiere of Ugly Sweater.
Determined to study astrophysics at an Ivy League college, high-school senior Ruby faces her anxiety as it appears vividly in her dreams, prompted by a seemingly magical ugly Christmas sweater. Within this tumultuous year, Ruby experiences first love, nostalgia, the power of sisterhood, and a new path to find peace.
Directed by Lauren Musgrove, an 8-time Southeast Emmy winning filmmaker based in Athens, Georgia, and current Assistant Professor of Entertainment and Media Studies at UGA.
Starring
Deja Monique Cruz, whose film and television appearances credits include Netflix holiday Rom-Com "Christmas with you" and her recurring role on "The Crossover", a new series on Disney+.

About Us
The film community in Athens, Georgia has experienced exponential growth in the last few years, and we are long overdue for a film festival that we can call our own. We are eager to present films that the Athens and greater Atlanta community will deeply appreciate and connect with.
ATHFF is certain to bring people together to share a love for film, sparking collaboration and inspiring epiphanies yet unknown. The festival will both harness and contribute to the thriving Georgia film scene.
